Case Study: WOMEN’S INITIATIVE

The Crisis We Can’t Ignore
The impact of sexual assault and domestic violence in the U.S. is staggering. Nearly 5 million cases each year cost the nation an estimated $460 billion in healthcare, lost productivity, and legal expenses. Survivors often face long-term trauma, anxiety, chronic health conditions, and struggles with trust, relationships, and daily function. Traditional therapies frequently fall short, with survivors remaining stuck in cycles of trauma and instability. Lack of financial resources, limited access to comprehensive mental health care, and absence of stable housing only compound the problem.

Breaking the Cycle With Science
Inspired by the mission of Veronica Winters-Everly, a survivor of multiple traumatic life events, the Women’s Initiative was designed to address these gaps in resources with an innovative, neuroscience-driven recovery model. Through a partnership between Heal the Hero Foundation and Vitanya, the program offers a comprehensive, year-long solution for 100 women survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
By addressing trauma at the neurological and cellular levels, the program harnesses positive neuroplasticity, retraining the brain and improving stress resilience.

RESULTS THAT CHANGE LIVES
REDUCTION IN TRAUMA SYMPTOMS
REDUCTION IN ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION SYMPTOMS
IMPROVEMENT IN SLEEP SATISFACTION
INCREASE IN OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE
OF PARTICIPANTS HAVE SIGNIFICANT POSITIVE CHANGES IN ALL AREAS
The social impact is equally powerful. For each participant, the estimated cost savings to the healthcare and social systems is $440,625 over five years — totaling more than $44 million in projected financial impact per 100 participants from this initiative alone.

AN INVESTMENT WITH LASTING IMPACT
The Women’s Initiative provides irrefutable evidence that by combining cutting-edge neuroscience with holistic support systems, it’s possible to assist in breaking the cycles of trauma and empower survivors to rebuild their lives. Beyond changing individual outcomes, this program demonstrates a scalable, replicable model that has the potential to reduce national healthcare costs and strengthen communities.
