CREATING CHANGE THROUGH NEUROSCIENCE:
INCREASING STRESS RESILIENCE AND SUCCESS POTENTIAL (1 CE)
with Speaker: Stacey Smith, PhD.
Our brains, which control our behaviors and thoughts, are intricate systems of electrical and chemical activities with about 86 billion neurons. While the brain is designed to adapt to changes in our environment, we have found that it can also become dysregulated. This dysregulation can cause the brain to be under-stimulated when it should be attentive or over-stimulated when it should be calm. At times, the brain may self-correct, and at other times, this dysregulation becomes the new normal. Neurofeedback is used to correct for this dysregulation and allow the brain to become optimized. When combined with therapy, this optimized brain allows our clients to better engage in the therapy process and make more conscious, healthy decisions. Together, these two interventions can create lasting change and recovery for our clients. At this point, we have measured significant reductions in trauma, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, and stress when using the Vitanya neuroscience protocols. At the same time, we have seen increases in the quality of life, stress resilience, and executive functioning.
